Product Photography

In the changing markets, more and more products are finding their way online. The new generation marketers are using e-commerce as potent platforms to increase the sales.
The focus is on visual merchandizing, the sellers have to present their products in the most attractive way, there are many ways in which you can shoot your products and get decided output.
We suggest the following approaches,
i)Product Photography
When shooting a product, which is smaller in size, then an average human being, you require product photography kit. This kit constitutes of light tent, reflectors, small light stand, the size of the object being small requires even light from all sides, to enhance the small product features in the simplest manner. The photographer can place an acrylic raiser inside the light tent and shoot the object as at close proximity.

The day light effect may be enhanced using ultra tool reflector lights, the tent by itself acts as a softbox which smoothens exterior light that may be falling on to the object. You may setup the shooting environment near a window or opening providing natural light which can be modified with a light tent. This is a DIY (DO IT YOURSELF) kit used by multiple individuals for different requirements.
ii) Home/Garage/Warehouse/Storeroom studio
The size of the objects when are equal to/ larger than a human being, the shoot can be caused by creating your own studio setup either in all Home/ Garage/ Warehouse/ Storeroom.
The basic setup would require a backdrop; there is a choice of solid colours as preferred backdrops for shooting relatively large objects like furniture, cars, vehicles, clothes etc. The backdrop can be set on the white backdrop stand, the width of the stand may be chosen based on the area available in the studio. The photographer should ensure that the wall is covered completely; there is a choice of width of backdrops and backdrop stand.
The length of the backdrop can be chosen depending on the floor area to be covered. This is specifically arrive at keeping in view the area covered by the subject being shot.

The lights option may be considered keeping in view the availability of natural light. Many photographers prefer to work with the whole lighting equipment completely. The studio is converted into a complete darkroom, locking out all natural light, the primary lights to be considered for product shoot or photography is a flush strobe light.
These lights can be used in multiples; the syncing of the click with the flash light is done using a digital trigger. The accessories which support the smoothening of the light are softbox/ flash.
The softbox distributes the light evenly, we can use umbrella to diversify the light around the subject. You have the option to use barn doors with colours green, blue, red, yellow for colorized effect.

Effective Use of Chroma Green

The process in which a particular colour aspect is replaced by another on a video is called the chroma keying. It is used for background replacement on videos
Essential elements for a chroma key
Choice of Screen
Initially the chromakeying was done in blue whereas now it is used in green color. This is because green screen require less light to enlighten the surroundings. In the past, the main color for chromakeying was blue. Beginning in the late 1970s, there was a slow industry flip-over to green-colored screens for chroma. A person's skin tone however doesn't have an impact on the either of the colors. But the color of dress has an impact.

Fine tuning

The chroma effect play a major role in editing the videos. For a thriving effect, it is essential to to provide a even lighting for the background and the object should be placed far from the background. This eases the editing work.

Influence Digital effects

Nowadays, with the availability of the video backing tracks, we can take the digital backgrounds from it and key it. This provies stunning rich effects for the videos. This is much cheaper and replaces the bulky light effects

Professional results

A background evenly lighted and perfectly placed works wonders. The green screen strikes the true quality and keys the object. An effective use gives a professional look even for a simple video

Determine the room available

Ensure that the object is far placed from the screen to avoid shadows collapse the screen. For a smaller picture, no much area is required. But a full picture requires a larger area. Outdoors shoots can be done considering other influencing factors like breeze, sound, etc.

Type of Screen
Foremost we have to decide are we going to use a green or a blue screen. Green is used for digital effects and requires less light than blue color. But still blue can be used where green is inappropriate. A foam backed cloth helps to spread the light uniformly and can be stores with ease as its wrinkle free. Also foldable chroma suitable for outdoor shoots are available.

Type of Camera

The type of camerra that is been used has a great influence to the green screen. A HD camera gives good results coping up with the key since the pixels are smaller. A camera with lesser color compression doesn't match with the chroma.

Final Touch

Even after the task completion, if the chroma effects are not eye catching, the after effcts can be done using the software. Using this we can remove the unwanted effects on the object.
When we have a good key, our skill lies in the manner of setting up the object as per the background and matching the color. On a whole, effective lighting effects will give good outcome. The skill of good chroma can be obtained only with professional experience. By taking into consideration the above factors, the chroma key would give ultimate results.
